If you’ve, uh, patched an App for whatever reason, Catalina can be a bit whiny about it, and tell you the app is damaged and can’t be used.
Simple fix
xattr -cr /Applications/DamagedAppName.app
Usual Caveats – only do this if you’ve modified the App yourself.
