hi lawrence, i got your name from my friend paul connolly, who suggested that i get in touch with you regarding a web project that i’m trying to get off the ground. i’m a canadian guy living in shanghai, and sorry, but i’ve looked all over your site and can’t find a contact email, so this is the only way that i could see to get in touch with you.
to give you a vision of what i’m going for as a starting point, please have a look at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032608/vp/32919983#32919983. the site will include a video player through which embedded or archived video can be streamed, a “Transcript” function like the one on the msnbc page, a “search” tool for identifying vocabulary within the transcript, subtitling of the selected video, and an interface that mines a back end database to provide scroll over popups in either chinese or japanese for selected terms within the transcript. interested?
