If anyone wants to mess around with the settings for the Huawei eHome router EchoLife HG522-c (typically the ones supplied with the “3M or 4M” connection), then here are the user / pass settings.

Site: http://192.168.1.1/
User: telecomadmin
Pass:nE7jA%5m

Useful if you want to rejig the QoS settings.

If that login doesn’t work, try this – which is usually seen on the HG226 models -
Site: http://192.168.1.1
User: fiberhomehg2x0
Pass: hg2x0

The other standard modem HG520S is easier – admin / admin

Might be useful for some folks. I’m mostly posting here for myself, as I’ll probably forget and need to google it later.

    Hello!

I had bought this type of router three days ago from China. Unfortunately coming home I found that all instructions, software and drivers are in Chinese. And now walking in the web I couldn’t find solutions to my problem. Please, If you have anything (I mean user guides or smth else) please send me.

    Sencirely, Yernur

    • Why would you need drivers? Its a router.

Visit the webpage for the router (usually something like 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1), and login.
This router has an English UI too, choosable from the login page.

so we’re also with china telecom and it’s a new thing that we set up – i can connect to the internet just fine (I’m on it right now). Our router is a ADSL modem from chinanet and I’ve tried to log in with 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1, and 10.0.0.1, but it always comes up with page cannot displayed..

I’m on a mac so I went to system pref and looked up the router IP and it was 219.134.52.1.. tried that but it also still won’t load. Any ideas?

We’re trying to log into the page so that we can set up our TPlink wireless.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

    Hello Lawrence,
I am trying to reset my e-home router, as it seems my brother-in-law’s pc is optimized to use all the bandwidth. He also has conveniently forgotten the password for his router. Is this the default name/pass? and how do I reset the router back to original settings, so the rest of us can use the internet properly?
